Respect all Life
October is Respect Life Month, a time when the Catholic Church in the United States invites us to reflect more deeply on the sacredness of every human life. As Catholics, we are called to cherish, defend, and protect those who are most vulnerable from the very beginning of life to its natural end, and at every moment in between. It’s easy to say, “Yes, I respect life,” but the true challenge is to live that belief daily. This month, I encourage you to put those words into action: Pray for the unborn and for couples struggling with infertility. Donate to organizations that support parents courageously choosing life. Serve the poor, the homeless, the immigrant, and those living with mental illness. Support families affected by addiction, and reach out to those suffering silently from depression, grief, or loneliness.
